Dancer of the Month June

Shinaed Byrne

Shinead has been a student at the Allesley School of Dance for five years and has enjoyed every minute of her time with the school.

She has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Musical Theatre and has performed in several Allesley Dance Showcases.

Shinead was a member of Coventry's Youth Operetta Group with whom she played several principal roles including Dorothy in Wizard of Oz and Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes. She has also taken lead roles with the Three Spires Musical Society including Fame and the demanding role of Maria in West Side Story. In addition, Shinead took part in Pete Waterman's Songs of Praise Christmas Special last year.

Sinead has won a scholarship, which fully funds three years of training at Arts Ed Stage School in London. This centre of excellence has produced many extremely successful West End Performers and TV stars and Sinead is looking forward to the start of her first term.

She would like to sincerely thank Mrs Pughe and Lizzie for all their teaching, help, support and encouragement over the years. She could not have done it without them.
