Emily Hawgood
Emily has been dancing at the Allesley School of Dancing for the last 10 years. At he age of 8 she became a junior associate with the Royal Ballet School and completed a 3-year course. She appeared on Blue Peter in 1999 with the National Youth Ballet in their productions of “Alice In Wonderland” which was performed at the Fairfield Theatre, Croydon and the London Coliseum.

At the age of 9 she was awarded a ballet scholarship with the British Ballet Organization and more recently successfully auditioned for a senior ballet scholarship. Emily has won many awards at concourse in London for jazz and tap dancing but was thrilled at Easter this year when she won the Musical theatre Award for the second time running to attend a weeks summer school at Arts Educational stage school in London , which she thoroughly enjoyed.
For the last 8 years Emily has appeared in professional pantomime at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry . Emily has also been a member of YOG, the Youth Operetta Group, where she has performed at the Butts Theatre in Coventry in many productions including “Annie”, “The Wizard of Oz”, Anything Goes” and “Oliver” but made her debut as a major principal when she played “Lola” in “Copacabana” in 2002.
At 16 years if age Emily is now pursuing her dream of attending a 3-year course at Laine Theatre Arts stage school on Epsom, and was thrilled to be awarded an unconditional scholarship for the Musical Theatre course.
Emily's comments: I would like to say a massive thank you to Mrs Pughe, Lizzie and Alison for making this dream possible and also thank you to Mum and Dad for your continued support throughout, one day I may pay you back when I hopefully achieve my dream of appearing in many West End musicals.
